Design & Build Quality

This Neo edition costs a hundred rupees less than the Realme Buds 2. But the minimal design, braided cable, cable organizer, etc all are here.

There is not much to see about these earphones. No fancy design or branding. Just clean angled earbuds with a mixture of matte and glossy finish.

Due to angled earbuds the fit into ear canals with very minimum effort this design is very comforting as well. Not to mention the build quality is decent.

When it comes to comfort then you can use it for hours, don’t worry. Lastly, it is available in colours. All are great. So, it’s totally on your choice.

Sound & Bass Quality

The sound quality and bass is the reason I chose this over boAt Bassheads 225. Out of all the earphones I have used for under 500 rupees, Realme Buds 2 Neo is best sounding earphones.

It has a 20-20kHz frequency range like most earphones and it is ideal for our human ears. Other than that it has 32 ohms impedance and 11.2mm bass drivers.

I’m not really sure about the sensitivity. But as far I know that it has 106dB sensitivity which is louder than any earphones you can find in this budget.

I already mentioned that it is best sounding earphones under 500 rupees and the 11.2mm bass drivers are like cherry on top.

First of all, 11.2mm is pretty rare and especially in such compact earbuds. The crystal clear vocals and thumping bass create a perfect balance of treble & bass.

Last but not least, as it has 32 ohms impedance and more than 98dB sensitivity, it will work nicely with laptops and desktops as well.

Mic, Controls & Functions

Like the Realme Buds 2, this Neo edition’s in-line remote doesn’t have the volume control buttons, you need to use your phone or whatever device it is connecting with.

The in-line remote comes with a mic and has a universal button with functions like play/pause, changing tracks, take/end calls, and activating voice assistant.

Design & Build Quality

I admit that the build and finishing quality is not as good as Realme Buds 2 Neo. But it costs even a hundred rupees less than Buds 2 Neo. I can’t really complain.

Without any bias, I’ll say the design is just okay and the material quality is average. Seeing the ear wings, you can say that it is made for fitness lovers.

I see a lot of people looking for good-budget earphones ideal for gym sessions or running. That’s why I picked it over any boAt earphones. If you are one of them then it can be a good choice.

You get 7 colour options to choose from. I personally suggest you the black edition because it gives a premium feel.

Sound & Bass Quality

Just like the previous and many other earphones it has a 20-20kHz frequency range and the same 32 ohms impedance as Realme Buds 2 Neo.

Sensitivity is one more reason I chose Bassheads 242. It has 101dB sensitivity which is loud enough and higher than the standard.

The sound quality is good enough for an under 500 rupees earphone. Not as good as Realme Buds 2 Neo but yeah the vocals sound clean.

As for bass quality, it has standard 10mm bass drivers. Of course less than Realme Buds 2 Neo. But 10mm is the metric from where you actually start to feel the bass.

Overall the sound quality and bass Bassheads 242 is providing at such a low price is awesome. I really liked the sound quality personally. What more you can expect?

Mic, Controls & Functions

boAt did this one thing that most brands don’t. That is including volume buttons. When it the gym or during any work, you don’t need to take out your phone.

The in-line remote comes with a mic and has a universal button with functions like play/pause, changing tracks, take/end calls, and activating voice assistant.

Miscellaneous

Call/Mic Quality: The mic quality is slightly on a lower level than Realme Buds 2 Neo but will do that work.

Design & Build Quality

Thinking about Bassheads 102 but ended up choosing Bassheads 100 instead for better design. There’s 0ne more reason I’ll be talking about in the next section.

boAt Bassheads 100 really has an identical hawk design with a nice glossy finishing touch. Not to mention there are 14 different colours including IPL editions.

Due to its compact design and full plastic build, it weighs only around 13 grams. Trust me you won’t even realize there’s a pair of earphones in your ears.

Sound & Bass Quality

The same 20-20kHz frequency range and 10mm drivers as Bassheads 242 just has 16 ohms impedance.

This Bassheads 100 might not be the best earphone under 500 rupees but it’s a nice pair of go-to earphones to enjoy music anytime.

Unlike the other two earphones, it has only 92dB sensitivity but doesn’t worry. The 96dB sensitivity is considered the minimum level but 92dB is good enough with smartphones and tablets

The sound quality and bass are pretty much the same as Bassheads 242 as it also has 10mm drivers.

I was going to choose Bassheads 102 for gold-plated jack (8mm drivers) but ended up choosing this as it has 2mm bigger drivers because we all love bass.

To conclude, the same music experience as Bassheasd 242, just the loudness is a bit lower.
