There are tons of earphones out there from different brands. But instead of confusing you with 10 options, I have selected the 3 earphones you need to choose from.
I have mentioned all the reasons why I chose them and all the reasons why I have not considered the other alternatives.
This Best Wired Earphones under 1000 list will go deep into each earphone and include all the things you need to choose the right one for you.
So, let’s dive in.

Realme Buds 2
Design & Build Quality
In the last article on best earphones under 500, I talked about Realme Buds 2 Neo and how it looks very identical to Realme Buds 2.
I’m starting this list with Realme Buds 2 as well but not the Neo edition. Though both look very similar in terms of design. Just the earbuds and in-line remote look slightly different.
The same braided cable, matte finish with some glossy touch. But this time the earbuds aren’t rounded looking like the Neo edition and there’s an ‘R’ logo in both earbuds.
It’s very lightweight (weighs only 14 grams) and due to the angled earbud design, it’s very easy to slide them into ears.
Also, angled earbuds are ideal for fitting and noise cancellation. Just make sure to use proper ear caps to get the most out of it.
Overall I must say that Realme Buds 2 actually looks better than the Neo edition. One last thing it is available in four colours.
Sound & Bass Quality
Realme Buds 2 is the most cost-efficient and best-sounding wired earphone under Rs 1000. It literally has everything you want from a budget earphone.
First of all, it has the ideal 20-20kHz frequency, 32 ohms impedance, and 11.2mm bass drivers which you can’t find in any earphones in the Indian market under 1000.
Not only that it has 106dB/mW sensitivity. Realme Buds 2 is the only earphone with 106dB/mW I know under 1000.
The fact is both Realme Buds 2 and 2 Neo have the exact same sound and bass quality with the same loudness. This non-Neo version only costs because it has more features.
As I have already declared that this is the best sounding earphone on this list then I don’t think I need to explain anything more.
In short, Realme Buds 2 produce loud and crispy sound quality with deep bass (11.2mm drivers). It has the ideal balance between treble & bass. Slightly heavier on the bass but doesn’t affect the sound.

Mic, Controls & Functions
The good thing is, the in-line remote of Realme Buds 2 has 2 additional buttons for volume control. So, you don’t always need to press the buttons of your phone.
The in-line remote comes with a mic and has a universal button with functions like play/pause, changing tracks, take/end calls, and activating voice assistant.
Miscellaneous
Cord & connectivity: Realme Buds 2 has a 1.3m long tangle-free braided cable with a 3.5mm silver-plated angled jack.
Water-Resistance: It is not IP rated but it’s made of TPU material (a kind of plastic) which can resist sweat and some water.
Call/Mic Quality: It really has a nice mic for calling. The sound is clear from both ends.
Noise Cancellation: Make sure to use the ideal ear caps for proper passive noise cancellation.
Accessories: Ear caps of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.
Pros & Cons
boAt Bassheads 225
Design & Build Quality
The first reason I kept BoAt Bassheads 225 in the second position is the design. As the earbuds are a bit bigger and bulkier, they might not be suitable for everyone.
On top of that, the earbuds are not angled. So, if the earbuds don’t fit properly in your ears, it can be very annoying to adjust them again and again.
But personally, I like this design. These earbuds go deeper into your ear canals and do a better job at noise canceling and delivering sound directly inside the ears without any leakage.
So, in case you have previously used this kind of earphones then you can consider it. According to the product description, it weighs 14 grams too (just like Realme Buds 2).
Some things I want to make clear are that the design is more suitable for sitting position or during walking but not recommended for running and exercise.
Lastly, Basssheasd 225 is available in 11 different colours to choose from.
Sound & Bass Quality
The overall music experience is another reason (not the last one) I put it in the second position.
It has the same 20-20kHz frequency range and 92dB/mW sensitivity. Less loud compared to Realme Buds 2 but quite good. Ideal for our ears.
Other than those it has 16 ohms impedance and 10mm bass drivers. Naturally, the bass is less deep but the earbud design does a great job to enhance it.
Based on the loudness and clarity the amount of bass is perfectly balanced. This means the treble and bass are properly balanced.
You won’t feel like the bass is overpowering the vocals like some BoAt earphones. It costs slightly more than Rs 500, I can’t really expect more than this.
To conclude, in terms of overall music experience if I give 4.5/5 to Realme Buds 2 then I’ll give Bassheads 225 about 4/5. It should give you a clear idea.
Mic, Controls & Functions
The last reason to keep this in the second position is that it doesn’t have volume control buttons.
The in-line remote comes with a mic and has a universal button with functions like play/pause, changing tracks, take/end calls, and activating voice assistant.
Miscellaneous
Cord & connectivity: boAt Bassheads 225 has a 1.2m long tangle-free cable with a 3.5mm gold-plated angled jack.
Water-Resistance: No official mention of sweat or water resistance from BoAt.
Call/Mic Quality: I’m satisfied with the quality of the mic. Really good for calls and online meetings.
Noise Cancellation: Make sure to use the ideal ear caps for proper passive noise cancellation.
Accessories: Ear caps of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.
Pros & Cons
MI Dual Driver
Design & Build Quality
I chose Mi Dual Driver over any JBL earphones like CS200 or Endurance Run because Mi Dual Driver really has an ergonomic design.
I think out of the 3 earphones, this Mi Dual Driver is the best looking and most comfortable earphone on this list.
No matter which colour you pick out of the two, both look excellent. The matte finish has a nice shiny touch which makes too look premium.
Yes, the earbuds are slightly bigger in terms of length but it has an angled design which is a game-changer.
Due to the long build, it goes deeper into your ears, and for the angled design it fits just perfectly.
Sound & Bass Quality
The main reason it attracts the majority of the customers is because of some unusual features 20-40kHz frequency range and two drivers (dual driver) in each earbud.
Let’s start with the frequency range. When I made the Realme Buds 2 vs Mi Dual Driver comparison, I mentioned that our human ears can only hear up to 20kHz.
Only a few animals like dogs, cats, rabbits are able to hear up to 40kHz. So the 40kHz frequency range is nothing but a marketing strategy.
Coming to the second point, Mi Dual Driver has two drivers (8mm & 10mm) in each earbud.
The main idea is that one driver handles the bass or the low frequencies (I’m guessing it’s the 10mm driver) and the other one handles the mid and high (treble).
Technically, dual drivers are used in earphones to handle different frequencies separately so they don’t get tangled with each other.
But here in Mi Dual Driver, it doesn’t make much difference. I would say the Bassheads 225 sounds better and has better bass.
Mic, Controls & Functions
Mi did a good job here including volume control buttons. The in-line remote with a mic has only one universal button with functions like play/pause, changing tracks, take/end calls, and activating voice assistant.
Miscellaneous
Cord & connectivity: Mi Dual Driver has a 1.2m long normal cable with a 3.5mm gold-plated angled jack.
Water-Resistance: No official mention of sweat 0r water resistance.
Call/Mic Quality: Like the last two earphones, it has a pretty good quality mic as well with good noise cancellation.
Noise Cancellation: Make sure to use the ideal ear caps for proper passive noise cancellation.
Accessories: Ear caps of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.
