This BoAt Airdopes 121v2 vs BoAt Airdopes 441 ultimate comparison article will go deep into each earphone and include all the things you need to choose the right one for you.
So, let’s dive in.
BoAt Airdopes 121v2
BoAt Airdopes 441
Design & Build Quality
The design of BoAt Airdopes 121v2 and Airdopes 441 is very identical.
The difference is the colour pattern, Airdopes 121v2 full ‘boAt’ logo, and Airdopes 141 has their brand symbol instead and comes with wings.
Airdopes 121v2 looks better as it got a cleaner and compact design with a cool shiny finish. Compared to that Airdopes 441 looks simple.
Airdopes 441 is available in a wide collection of 15 colours and Airdopes 121v2 has 6 solid colours and IPL editions.
Because of the in-ear form, both earbuds are perfect for normal running to heavy workouts. Airdopes 441 got ear wings for better grip but it may hurt after 30 minutes or so.
Also, the noise cancellation is not always good as it doesn’t fit very well. Last but not least, Airdopes isn’t good to use during heavy motion.
Not to mention that both are very lightweight. You won’t even feel there’s anything in your ears.
In terms of design and build quality, they both are very similar. So, even if I exclude this section it doesn’t matter much.
What are more important is sound, bass, battery life, and other important features.
Bass & Sound Quality
BoAt Airdopes 441 costs almost double of Airdopes 121v2 but I’ll say it’s worth it if you are willing to spend up to 2500 rupees.
BoAt Airdopes 121v2 and 441 have 8mm and 6mm bass drivers respectively. Now I’ll be honest here.
The 6mm or 8mm drivers are not capable of producing bass that you can actually feel. Everything normally feels flat. No bass at all.
In earbuds, it is not really possible to use bigger drivers as earbuds are tend to be small and light.
So, BoAt tried to cover that by boosting the bass artificially. If you have ever used an equalizer app for bass boosting.
It helped Airdopes 121v2 and 441 to produce deep and thumping bass but doing this often makes the vocals and many other instruments quiet.
You can’t feel everything going on in a song. Especially a song with many musical layers. Overpowering bass can be tiresome for many including me.
What I noticed is that the bass of Airdopes 121v2 is more overpowering compared to Airdopes 441. I guess it’s because it has smaller drivers. So, it’s more bass boosted.
After reducing the bass a bit with the help of an equalizer, I came to the conclusion that both have good sound quality. The vocals are clear. But in normal cases, bass overpowers and makes them feel quiet.
So, I would prefer Airdopes 441 in terms of sound quality and bass. If you feel the bass is too much then use an equalizer and lower the 60.00Hz bar as per your suitability.
Battery Life & Charging Time
BoAt Airdopes 121v2 and 441 have a full playback time of 14 hours (3.5 hours in earbuds & 11.5 hours in charging case) and 30 hours (5 hours in earbuds & 25 hours in charging case)respectively with the charging case.
The Pro version of Airdopes 441 has battery huge battery backup of 150 hours.
Airdopes 121v2 takes 2 hours to get fully charged while Airdopes 441 30 minutes less (1.5 hours).
Neither has fast charging. But based on all the above things Airdopes 441 clearly beats 121v2 in this section.
Controls & Functions
Airdopes 121v2 multifunctional button for activating assistant (press up to 1.5 seconds), changing tracks (double press), play/pause (single tap), and taking/ending calls (single tap).
Airdopes 441 has a touch panel to pause/play each earbud along with features like activating voice assistant, taking/ending calls. The touch controls can respond late sometimes.
Having a touch panel/sensors seems cool but personally physically buttons are more reliable to me as touch controls often lag and are not that accurate.
Note: You can’t control volume.
The charging case of the earbuds looks the same. The only difference is the indicator. Airdopes 441 has an indicator on the front side.
But Airdopes 121v2 charging has display inside the charging case. It will show the battery percentage. So, you have to open the lid every time to check whether it’s charged.
You can check the battery percentage on your phone as well if you keep them connected.
Bluetooth Version: Both have Bluetooth 5.0 with a 10 m range.
Water-Resistance: Airdopes 121v2 and 441 are IPX4 and IPX7 rated respectively.
Call/Mic Quality: For just normal calling none of them will disappoint you. Good enough for day to day basis.
Noise Cancellation: The passive noise cancellation is good enough to cancel most of the home and environment noises.
Accessories: USB-C cable for charging, earbuds of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.

BoAt Airdopes 121v2
What customers appreciated most about these wireless earbuds is the sound quality, good fit, and how it is very easy to connect.
The only controversial thing is the battery life. For some, the battery life is enough and for some, it’s not. So, it depends on how much time you spend using them.
Some said that it would be better if the bass was a bit deeper. But you can’t really expect much from 8mm bass drivers.
Also, users faced problems during calls due to poor mic quality.
