Design & Build Quality

Unlike Rockerz 255, the design of Rockerz 245v2 is pretty sleek, smooth, and minimal. There’s a magnetic control panel instead of a separate remote.

The Rockerz 255 on the other hand a bit bulky. The neckband and cords are flat which I personally like as they tend to be more durable.

Also, the earbuds of Rockerz 245v2 are also very compact with small ear wings that don’t hurt your ears like Rockerz 255 after using a long time.

The matte finish on the overall body of Rockerz 245v2 makes it look premium while the glossy finish of Rockerz 255 looks a bit cheap.

Rockerz 245v2 has a nice collection of 5 colours and Rockerz 255 has a wide range of 13 colours including IPL editions (the price may vary based on the colour you choose).

In my opinion, both are lightweight and comfortable to use no matter what I’m doing. But I found the design of the earbuds of Rockerz 245v2 more comfortable in the long run.

Bass & Sound Quality

Rockerz 255 has a Qualcomm chipset that supports aptX codec via Bluetooth. For android devices aptX always performs better than AAC.

Rockerz 245v2 supports AAC, MP3, etc codecs. Though this only matters if you play offline music files with different codecs.

In case you are stream songs on Spotify or any other platform, you don’t need to worry about these things much. Because they use different codecs.

The Rockerz 245v2 has 32 ohms impedance and 105dB SPL (Sound Pressure Level). Ideal for smartphones to laptop/desktop.

While Rockerz 255 has 16 ohms impedance and 107dB SPL. It’s designed for smartphones but if you can still use it with laptops as well.

As Rockerz 245v2 has 12mm drivers, it obviously produces deeper bass than Rockerz 255 with 10mm drivers.

Generally, I use online music streaming platforms and both sounds really good. But I would like Rockerz 255 if it had a bit more bass.

To conclude, Rockerz 255 has aptX codec support which produces better sound quality while saving power via Bluetooth but the bass is a disadvantage.

Rockerz 245v2 on the other hand has the ideal balance of treble and bass in such an affordable price range.

So, the base edition of Rockerz 255 can’t really beat Rockerz 245v2.

Battery Life & Charging Time

Rockerz 245v2 and 255 have 6 hours & 8 hours of full battery backup respectively (note: playing a higher codec like aptX can drain the battery faster).

Both take around 1.5 hours to get fully charged. Sadly no fast or ASAP charging feature. But the Pro and Pro+ editions of Rockerz 255 has an ASAP charging feature.

Lastly, both use micro-USB for charging. Which is both reasonable and normal in this price range.

Controls & Functions

Rockerz 245v2 has a magnetic control panel attached to the neckband and Rockerz 255 has a separate remote.

Despite different locations of the buttons both have the same functions like buttons for power off/on, play/pause songs, videos, take/end calls, activating voice assistant.

Also, there are separate buttons for volume control as well. Personally, I liked the design of buttons of Rockerz 245v2 a lot.

Bluetooth Version: Both have Bluetooth 5.0 with a 10 m range.

Water-Resistance: Both are IPX5 rated. Good enough to resist light jet spray or light rain.

Call/Mic Quality: Both have a mic and both are good enough for calling in the normal home environment but not in noisy places.

Noise Cancellation: As none of them has ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), I recommend you to use proper ear caps for better passive noise cancellation.

Accessories: Micro-USB cable for charging, charging case, ear caps of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.
