Design & Build Quality

BoAt Airdopes 441 Pro is exactly the same as the non-pro edition. The same design with a matte finish and a ‘boAt’ sign on the glossy part.

You get a huge collection of 15 colours to choose from. Overall it’s a nice simple looking well-built pair of earbuds.

As for comfort, it has an in-ear form to fit properly and provide comfort. But using with the wings tends to hurt my ears after 30 minutes or so.

I prefer to use without them when I’m just sitting with my laptop or just simply enjoying the music but during workouts, I make sure to attach the wings for a strong grip.

On the other hand, the OnePlus Buds Z comes in white and grey variants. Compared to Airdopes 441 Pro it looks tougher yet premium.

It is made of high-quality plastic with a kind of glossy finish. It is as comfortable as Airdopes 441 Pro.

Overall both are lightweight and super comfortable with good design. Only the wings of Airdopes 441 Pro can be a bit bother.

Bass & Sound Quality

Before I dive deep, let me tell you that OnePlus Buds Z and BoAt Airdopes 441 Pro have 10mm and 6mm drivers respectively but please keep reading before jumping to conclusions.

Surprisingly both are more focused on bass. Not that surprising for BoAt but might be the first time for OnePlus. As they are more focused on balanced output.

Despite having 6mm drivers, Airdopes 441 Pro has a killing bass quality but that is an advantage as well. The bass is so boosted that they overpower the mid and low.

If you get ear fatigue from listening to loud sounds or bass then Airdopes 441 Pro might not be the best choice for you.

But we Indians love deep and loud bass. So, I think that might not be a problem. But this kind of loud bass is not always good for the ears.

Personally, I prefer a good balance between sound and bass. I’m not a big fan of artificially bass boosted BoAt earphones. I just find them tiring.

OnePlus Buds Z, on the other hand, is also focused on the bass but still, it’s more comforting to the ears. The mid and low felt a bit quiet but no problem with high.

What I like about OnePlus and Realme earphones/earbuds is the natural bass with crystal clear sound quality.

As the bass is that loud of OnePlus Buds Z like Airdopes 441 Pro, the vocals are more clear.

So, in the end, it depends upon you what you are looking for. If the bass is the top priority for you and can bear loud and overpowering bass then Airdopes 441 Pro is great for you.

If you are like me who enjoys balanced sound and comforting natural bass then OnePlus Buds Z is what you need.

Battery Life & Charging Time

Battery life is the area where BoAt did a huge improvement in Airdopes 441 Pro. I’m also telling beforehand that it’s going to crush OnePlus Buds Z in this area.

Each earbud of both lasts up to 5 hours. But there comes the charging case that changed everything.

OnePlus Buds Z’s charging case can hold 15 hours of backup while Airdopes 441 Pro charging case has a full backup of 150 hours.

With a full charge, OnePlus Buds Z earbuds can be charged 3 times while Airdopes 441 Pro 30 times. Literally 10 times more.

OnePlus Buds Z takes around 50 minutes to fully charge while Airdopes 441 Pro around 1.5 hours. Still a lot less for a 2600mAh battery.

Unfortunately, Airdopes 441 Pro only supports standard charging. While OnePlus Buds Z can get 3 hours of playback time in 10 minutes with fast charging.

But, I guess you don’t really need fast charging when you are getting such a huge battery backup in the charging case.

Controls & Functions

OnePlus Buds Z and Airdopes 441 Pro are touch-sensitive. You can play/pause, activate voice assistant, take/end calls, change tracks but you can’t control the volume.

It would be better with better touch sensitivity but in this budget almost all touch sensors work the same way.

Charging Case

Both charging cases look very identical. Not to mention, there is an indicator on the front side.

The charging port of Airpodes 441 is on the front side along with the indicator but the port of OnePlus Buds Z is located at the back.

Miscellaneous

Bluetooth Version: Both have Bluetooth 5.0 with a 10 m range.

Water-Resistance: OnePlus Buds Z and Airdopes 441 Pro are IP55 & IPX7 rated respectively. Both IP ratings are really a nice thing to have. OnePlus Buds Z can also resist dust.

Call/Mic Quality: Inside the home or at quiet places the mic of Airdopes 441 Pro works well but can give trouble in noisy places. OnePlus Buds Z is comparatively better as it has 2 mics (1 in each earbud).

Noise Cancellation: None have active noise cancellation (ANC). Noise cancellation is not that great for both but Buds Z is a bit better at canceling some sharp noises.

Accessories: USB-C cable for charging, charging case, ear caps of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.

Customers are totally satisfied with the sound quality, comfort, design. The mic quality is good enough for calling.

Bass lovers are a bit disappointed because of the bass quality despite having 10 mm drivers but it’s good enough.

Few suggested that the battery life could be better but in my opinion ist’s much better than many competitors in the market.

Also, connecting to another device except OnePlus gives many users trouble or issue.

4 Reasons To Choose BoAt Airdopes 441 Pro

Louder bass: Of course it got much deeper and louder bass but make sure your ears are okay with that. Although an equalizer can solve that problem.

10x battery life: The charging case of Airdopes 441 Pro lasts up to 150 hours while OnePlus Buds Z only 15 hours.

IPX7-rated: IP55 of OnePlus Buds Z is enough but IPX7 is two steps ahead in terms of resisting sweat and water.

Value for money: It’s cheaper and almost has all the things that fulfill your need. Good sound, bass, lightweight design, good battery backup, everything.

5 Reasons To Choose OnePlus Buds Z

Natural & comforting bass: Even though it is designed for bass but still it’s not overly bass boosted and overpowered.

Clear & louder vocals: Because the bass is still balanced the vocals seem louder and much more clear.

Dust resistance: Good thing about having dust resistance is that it doesn’t let the earbuds get clogged with dust.

Fast charging: Not a huge thing when Airdopes 441 Pro got such monster-like battery backup. But still, you can get 3 hours of playback time in 10 minutes.

Looks better: OnePlus Buds Z surely looks more premium. So, if looks and aesthetics matter for you then sure it’s a point worth mentioning.

Final Words

Before I end this article, I’ll like to say one last thing that if you prefer soft but a nice touch of bass when actually needed then OnePlus Buds Z is suggested.

Not everyone like bass-heavy earphones/earbuds, as it overpowers vocals and most importantly can damage ears in the long run.

In case you are going with Airdopes 441 Pro and found the bass is too much then use an equalizer to adjust as your taste.

Hope this article will help to make an ideal choice. If you are having difficulties choosing based on some of your own personal reason then please let me know in the comment section.
