Design & Build Quality

To begin with, both of the earbuds have some real design and build quality and so are the charging cases (I’ll talk about that in a separate section).

However, the OnePlus Buds Z looks and feels a bit more rough and tough because of the finishing and the design. The earbuds almost look like Bullets Z Bass Edition.

But I’m not saying Realme Buds Air Pro looks bad or something. Just OnePlus Buds Z has done a better job.

OnePlus Buds Z comes in two colours White & Grey. Realme Buds Air Pro comes in two colours also – White & Black.

OnePlus Buds Z is about 1.5 grams lighter than Realme Buds Air Pro. Though you won’t feel any difference. Just mentioned it because I had the information.

Realme Buds Air Pro has an in-ear form. This means it will fit better in the ears and be able to cancel noises. OnePlus Buds Z has an earbud form which is often considered more comfortable than in-ear form.

So, in this section, it’s almost a tie. But if I really have to choose one then I’ll go with the OnePlus Buds Z.

Bass & Sound Quality

Both are equipped with 10mm bass drivers. OnePlus Buds Z focused more on bass and that is where I think messed a little bit.

Because of the bass, low and mid can sometimes feel quite a little bit but it shouldn’t bother you much as it is not heavy or overpowering as BoAt does.

On the other hand, Realme Buds Air Pro has an ideal balance between sound and bass. It is good with every kind of song.

Overall, both have a very identical sound and bass quality, I think Realme is slightly better but not something noticeable if you are not paying much attention.

Battery Life & Charging Time

Both OnePlus Buds Z and Realme Buds Air Pro earbuds can last up to 5 hours but the difference is in the charging case.

The charging case of OnePlus Buds Z and Realme Buds Air Pro has a battery backup of 15 and 20 hours. You can fully charge Realme earbuds one more time.

In fast charging, both are equal. You get to enjoy up to 3 hours just from 10 minutes of charge.

Realme Buds Air Pro takes around 1 hour to fully charge while OnePlus Buds Z gets fully charged in 10-15 minutes less time.

So yeah, as the fast charging and earbuds battery life is the same and Realme has 5 hours of more battery backup, the winner is Realme Buds Air Pro.

OnePlus and BoAt are going to collide one more time in this article. Both of the earbuds are very popular. So, I think not much introduction is needed.

But the question is which one to choose as they both cost almost the same. Also, BoAt Airdopes 441 Pro got some stunning improvements as well.

This OnePlus Buds Z vs BoAt Airdopes 441 Pro ultimate comparison article will go deep into each earphone and include all the things you need to choose the right one for you.

So, let’s dive in.

Design & Build Quality

Both brands didn’t compromise to make these two earbuds good-looking and durable. OnePlus Buds Z comes in White and Grey. OPPO Enco W51 comes in Floral White and Starry Blue.

The Starry Blue variant of Enco W51 just looks so good. The Floral White variant makes it look totally made of plastic.

But when it comes to Starry Blue you get to see a golden metallic touch with premium dark blue colour.

On the other hand, OnePlus Buds doesn’t look very fancy. It’s actually looking very simple yet it has an elegant and premium vibe.

By using it yourself you can tell that brands designed them to provide ultimate comfort. The in-ear form of Enco W51 makes sure to make a better grip and provide comfort.

While OnePlus Buds Z does a better job thanks to the earbud form. Most of the time this structure is more hassle-free.

But a person like me who spends at least 4-5 hours a day wearing earphones can say without any doubt that both are super comfortable.

To conclude this section, both had great looks and build quality. But the Starry Blue makes Enco W51 even better.

Bass & Sound Quality

I can say one thing for sure that OPPO Enco W51 is superior in terms of sound quality but if you are a bass lover then I’m sorry to say that it might not satisfy you.

OnePlus Buds Z and Enco W31 have 10mm and 7mm bass drivers respectively. You can already say that OnePlus Buds Z will provide better bass.

Often the actual result it different than the information but this time this is very accurate.

Enco W51 is louder than OnePlus Buds Z as the sound pressure level or sensitivity is 6dB/mW higher.

Note that this has almost nothing to do with the quality of the sound. OPPO Enco W51 is just better in terms of sound quality and clerity.

Also, Enco W51 sounds much better when the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) is on.

Now OnePlus Buds Z is by no means bad. It provides a pretty decent balance of sound and bass.

OnePlus Buds Z is perfect for you if you like bass but not overpowering type like most of the BoAt earbuds.

Overall, OnePlus Buds Z is budget-friendly TWS earbuds with above-average sound quality and good bass.

While OPPO Enco W51 sounds much better than OnePlus Buds Z but you have to compromise with bass. Sure there are equalizers available but natural bass is always better.

Battery Life & Charging Time

This section has some twists because OPPO Enco W51 has ANC which often manipulates battery life a lot.

OnePlus Buds Z and OPPO Enco W51 buds last up to 5 hours and 3.5 hours (ANC: On) respectively. With charging cases both last up to 20 hours.

Now, when the ANC is off Enco W51 buds lasts around 3 hours and with charging case 20 hours.

But when it has ANC then keeping it turned off normally doesn’t make sense unless the environment is very quiet or you want to save battery.

Till now everything was fine but the problem with Enco W51 is it drains the battery much faster. Listening to music at a higher volume makes it last only around 2-2.5 hours.

Enco W51 earbuds have only 25 mAh battery power compared to the 40 mAh battery of OnePlus Buds Z. This is the reason Enco W51 dies faster.

Then comes fast charging, OnePlus Buds Z fast charging offers 3 hours playback in 10 minutes, and OPPO Enco W51 doesn’t offer fast charging.

There’s one noticeable thing about Enco W51 here is it offers wireless charging. Which takes around 2.5 hours to fully charge. Surely a long time.

The wired charging time of Enco W51 and OnePlus Buds Z is 80 minutes and 55 minutes respectively.

Controls & Functions

OnePlus Buds Z and Airdopes 441 Pro are touch-sensitive. You can play/pause, activate voice assistant, take/end calls, change tracks but you can’t control the volume.

It would be better with better touch sensitivity but in this budget almost all touch sensors work the same way.

Charging Case

Both charging cases look very identical. Not to mention, there is an indicator on the front side.

The charging port of Airpodes 441 is on the front side along with the indicator but the port of OnePlus Buds Z is located at the back.

Miscellaneous

Bluetooth Version: Both have Bluetooth 5.0 with a 10 m range.

Water-Resistance: OnePlus Buds Z and Airdopes 441 Pro are IP55 & IPX7 rated respectively. Both IP ratings are really a nice thing to have. OnePlus Buds Z can also resist dust.

Noise Cancellation: None have active noise cancellation (ANC). Noise cancellation is not that great for both but Buds Z is a bit better at canceling some sharp noises.

Accessories: USB-C cable for charging, charging case, ear caps of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.

What I understood is that BoAt Airdopes 441 Pro is one of those ideal budget earbuds.

Excluding problems like a poor mic and noise cancellation, it got good sound and very deep bass, huge battery backup.

Users are happy to recommend it to anyone who is looking for lightweight earbuds with great sound and thumping bass.

4 Reasons To Choose BoAt Airdopes 441 Pro

Louder bass: Of course it got much deeper and louder bass but make sure your ears are okay with that. Although an equalizer can solve that problem.

10x battery life: The charging case of Airdopes 441 Pro lasts up to 150 hours while OnePlus Buds Z only 15 hours.

IPX7-rated: IP55 of OnePlus Buds Z is enough but IPX7 is two steps ahead in terms of resisting sweat and water.

Value for money: It’s cheaper and almost has all the things that fulfill your need. Good sound, bass, lightweight design, good battery backup, everything.

5 Reasons To Choose OnePlus Buds Z

Natural & comforting bass: Even though it is designed for bass but still it’s not overly bass boosted and overpowered.

Clear & louder vocals: Because the bass is still balanced the vocals seem louder and much more clear.

Dust resistance: Good thing about having dust resistance is that it doesn’t let the earbuds get clogged with dust.

Fast charging: Not a huge thing when Airdopes 441 Pro got such monster-like battery backup. But still, you can get 3 hours of playback time in 10 minutes.

Looks better: OnePlus Buds Z surely looks more premium. So, if looks and aesthetics matter for you then sure it’s a point worth mentioning.

Final Words

Before I end this article, I’ll like to say one last thing that if you prefer soft but a nice touch of bass when actually needed then OnePlus Buds Z is suggested.

Not everyone like bass-heavy earphones/earbuds, as it overpowers vocals and most importantly can damage ears in the long run.

In case you are going with Airdopes 441 Pro and found the bass is too much then use an equalizer to adjust as your taste.

Hope this article will help to make an ideal choice. If you are having difficulties choosing based on some of your own personal reason then please let me know in the comment section.

Personally, I’m satisfied with the touch controls. Never faced any delay, lag, or slow response.

Charging Case

Realme Buds Air Pro comes with a kind of oval-shaped while OnePlus Buds Z has a typical earbud charging case like BoAt Airdopes or Apple Airpods.

There is an indicator to tell it’s fully charged in both charging cases. After putting the earbuds it will also show the battery percentages.

Both of the brands didn’t compromise with the material quality.

Miscellaneous

Bluetooth Version: Both have Bluetooth 5.0 with a 10 m range.

Water-Resistance: OnePlus Buds Z is IP55 rated. It can resist both dust and water. Realme Buds Air Pro on the other hand is just IPX4 rated. Not a huge deal but based on the price, at least IPX5 was expected.
