Design & Build Quality

OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z Bass Edition comes in 3 colours – Bold Black, Bass Blue & Reverb Red, and Like all the other variants of Boat Rockerz 255, you get to choose from 13 colours.

Feature-wise BoAt really did some surprising improvements but the design is still something I don’t like. It’s comfortable to wear, lightweight but not so durable due to its plastic body.

On the other hand, we got OnePlus Bullets Z Bass Edition with metallic neckband and earbuds with a matte finish. Both are very lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Both are comfortable to wear for longer sessions, very lightweight. The difference is the build quality and design. OnePlus Bullets Z looks premium and made of durable material.

While those things are compromised to make it great featurewise at a very affordable price.

Bass & Sound Quality

Like the other two variants, it got the ideal impedance of 16 ohms to use with smartphones. The good thing is it got dual pairing but 16 ohms is not good enough with laptops or computers.

OnePlus Bullets Z works great with both smartphones and laptops as per my experience. But in terms of sound quality both are equally good.

For bass, it got 10 mm drivers and unlike the Rockerz 255 Pro, it doesn’t disappoint. The bass is much better than the past two variants and even better than Bullets Z’s 9.2 mm re-engineered drivers.

To conclude, BoAt Rockerz 255 Pro+ is ideal for both sound and bass. As it is providing equal sound quality and deeper bass at a very affordable price.

Battery Life & Charging Time

I think battery life is the most shocking improvement about Rockerz 255 Pro+. It just not only compete with the OnePlus Bullets Z but also beats it.

Both have a fast charging feature that can provide up to 10 hours of battery life for charging 10 minutes. It can vary based on the volume but 6-8 hours for sure.

What is more interesting is Rockerz 255 Pro+ has a total battery life of 40 hours. Keeping the volume at an average level can make it last around 30-34 hours easily.

While OnePlus Bullets Z Bass Edition lasts up to 17 hours. Now I’m not saying that 17 hours is bad. It’s actually a great number but compared to 40 hours, 17 hours is less than half of that.

Rockerz 255 Pro+ takes around 1.5-2 hours to fully charge and Bullets Z can take around 40-50 minutes. Seeing Rockerz 255 Pro+ using Micro-USB for charging, the time is reasonable.

Remote & Functions

A multi-function panel can be found at the left end of the neckband with all the necessary buttons like volume control, voice assistant, taking/ending calls, etc.

Miscellaneous

Bluetooth Version: Both editions have Bluetooth 5.0 with a 10 m range.

Water-Resistance: Bullets Z & Rockerz 255 Pro+ are IP55 & IPX7 rated respectively. Bullets Z can survive a jet spray. While Rockerz 255 Pro+ can survive in one meter deep water for 30 minutes.

Call/Mic Quality: The mic quality of Bullets Z is average but good for normal calls. Like the other two versions, the mic is not horrible this time. Rockerz 255 Pro+ got a decent mic.

Noise Cancellation: Both have good passive noise cancellation.

Accessories: USB-C /Micro USB cable for charging, earbuds of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.
