Design & Build Quality

OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z Bass Edition comes in 3 colours – Bold Black, Bass Blue & Reverb Red, and Like the Boat Rockerz 255, the Pro version also comes in 13 colours. But the colours are better this time especially the orange, neon and ocean blue.

I really wished they did a bit of improvement in material quality and the design. But the design is almost the same as the base model.

However, there are some colour combinations like the ocean blue and neon that makes it look premium but ultimately the neckband is fragile.

On the other hand, we got OnePlus Bullets Z Bass Edition with metallic neckband and earbuds with a matte finish. Both are very lightweight and comfortable to wear.

In my opinion, good build quality matters more than design. That is a drawback of Rockerz 255 Pro. While Bullets Z got both good build quality and design.

Bass & Sound Quality

BoAt Rockerz 255 Pro also has the same 16 ohms impedance and 10 mm bass drivers. So, it sounds the same as Rockerz 255 but the bass felt a bit deeper.

On the other side, Bullets Z did a great improvement than the base model which is not available in the market anymore. Even the sound quality is still the same the re-engineered 9.2 mm drivers are really a lot deeper and better.

I’ll say both sounds very clear and great. Rockerz 255 Pro is suitable for smartphones and tabs only due to 16 ohms but Bullets Z sounds good with laptops as well.

In short, both sound great but the Bullets Z is better for bass. If that is your thing then you know which one to choose.

Battery Life & Charging Time

Rockerz 255 Pro has 10 hours of full battery life which is 2 hours more than the base model and 7 hours lesser than Bullets Z bass edition (17 hours of full battery life).

This time you get to see fast charging technology which gives you 4 hours of backup in 20 minutes or 2 hours in 10 minutes. While Bullets Z gives 10 hours of backup in 10 minutes. 5 times more battery backup.

Rockerz 255 takes around 1 hour to fully charge and Bullets Z can take around 40-50 minutes. It’s sad that Rockerz 255 Pro still uses a Micro-USB for charging.

Remote & Functions

A multi-function panel can be found at the left end of the neckband with all the necessary buttons like volume control, voice assistant, taking/ending calls, etc.

Bluetooth Version: Both editions have Bluetooth 5.0 with a 10 m range.

Water-Resistance: Bullets Z & Rockerz 255 Pro are IP55 & IPX5 rated respectively. Both can survive a jet spray. Because Bullets Z is IP55, it has a resistance against dust too.

Call/Mic Quality: The mic quality of Bullets Z is average but good for normal calls. Sadly the mic of Rockerz 255 Pro is also not up to the mark. You need to hold the mic near the mouth during calls.

Noise Cancellation: Bullets Z do a good job at cancelling noise. The good thing about Rockerz 255 Pro is the passive noise cancellation is a bit better compared to the base model.

Accessories: USB-C /Micro USB cable for charging, earbuds of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.
