Design & Build Quality
OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z Bass Edition comes in 3 colours – Bold Black, Bass Blue & Reverb Red, and Oppo Enco M31 offers 2 colours as well – Black & Green and both look amazing.
Whenever I compare Bullets Z with any wireless earphones in a similar price range I praise how compact and minimal the design is.
But the moment I saw Enco M31 it was like a totally different thing. Especially the green colour. The metallic earbuds and neckband with a silicon rubber coating look so premium and also the golden soft wires makes it even more beautiful.
As you know metallic earbuds tend to make them heavy which led to discomfort but surprisingly Enco M31 weighs only 22 grams. As comfortable as Bullets Z.
I’m personally a big fan of Bullets Z for the build quality and design in such competitive pricing but Oppo Enco M31 looks & feels just so good.
Bass & Sound Quality
Due to lack of information, I’m not really sure about the exact impedance but both sound really good. If you are a musicphile like me then both will satisfy you equally.
But as I’m comparing these two I have to come to a conclusion. This is where the bass quality comes. More or less everyone cares about the bass quality. Nobody likes totally flat music without any depth.
Surprisingly both got 9.2 mm drivers. As per my experience if it was Bullets Z previous/normal edition then Enco M31 would be the winner but the re-engineered 9.2 mm drivers of Bullets Z bass edition are much deeper.
So, to conclude this section. Both sound very clear and really awesome. The bass is good for both but Bullets Z got deeper bass. If that you think then Bullets Z it is.
Battery Life & Charging Time
Thanks to Oppo Enco M31 fast charging feature you can get up to 180 minutes or 3 hours of battery life just by charging 10 minutes. While 10 minutes of charge can give Bullets Z 10 hours of backup.
Enco M31 and Bullets Z bass edition offer 12 hours and 17 hours of great full battery life respectively. Enco M31 takes around 40-45 mins to fully charge and Bullets Z can take around 40-50 minutes.
Remote & Functions
A multi-function panel can be found at the left end of the neckband with all the necessary buttons like volume control, voice assistant, taking/ending calls, etc.
Miscellaneous
Bluetooth Version: Both have Bluetooth 5.0 with a 10 m range.
Water-Resistance: Bullets Z & Enco M31 are IP55 & IPX5 rated respectively. Both can survive a jet spray. Because Bullets Z is IP55, it has a resistance against dust too.
Call/Mic Quality: Enco M31 got a really good mic that makes it great for calls. Bullets Z is also good for calls but the mic is not up to mark. It’s good but not ideal.
Noise Cancellation: Both got almost the same quality of passive noise cancelling power. It’s quite good.
Accessories: USB-C cable for charging, earbuds of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.
Users’ Report, Pros & Cons
Oneplus Bullets Wireless Z
Users’ Feedback
Bass lovers are highly satisfied with this modified version of OnePlus Bullets Z. Also the passive noise cancellation is better compared to the normal edition.
Users also found the low latency mode very helpful when playing online competitive games. Few have complained about a cracking sound during calls and songs as well.
OPPO Enco M31
Users’ Feedback
It’s not just me but the majority of the customers have liked the design and the lightweight design very much. The IPX5 water resistance and comfortable earbuds make it suitable for longer workout/music sessions.
The full battery backup could be a bit better according to some and I agree with that opinion too but it’s fine. The sound and bass quality is pretty good but might not be ideal for deep bass lovers.
The rest of the features like mic and call quality, noise cancellation are all pretty satisfying. Though some have faced some mic problems most of the time it’s good enough.
5 Reasons To Choose OnePlus Bullets Z
Longer battery backup: It just not only provide 10 hours of backup by charging 10 minutes but also last up to 17 hours. Also, it has a relatively lower full charging time.
Better noise cancellation: It’s difficult to figure out normally but with a couple of trials, Bullets Z was found slightly better at this.
Better sound & bass: Enco M31 also sounds pretty decent but Bullets Z is more clear and as mentioned before the bass is much deeper.
Dust resistance: The IP55 rating indicates that it not only resist water but dust as well which is a big reason for poor quality sound as earphones get older.
Better investment: As both costs, the same, Bullets Z offers much better sound, bass and other features. It has some of its own disadvantages as well but so is Enco M31.
Final Words
Other than design the one thing I liked about Oppo Enco M31 is the mic quality. Bullets Z is good too but sometimes it can be disturbing due to some noises.
I tried to provide as much information as possible and also tried to mention the reason so that you can make an ideal investment.
