Design & Build Quality

OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z Bass Edition comes in 3 colours – Bold Black, Bass Blue & Reverb Red, and Realme Buds Wireless offers 3 colours as well – Yellow (with black neckband), Green & Orange.

Bullets Z and Realme Buds Wireless looks very identical. The difference is the earbuds and control panel design. Both got the same very flexible silicone rubber neckband.

Both Realme buds and Bullets Z are made of good quality metal. Realme buds are just a tiny bit heavier compared to Bullets Z but it wouldn’t trouble you.

I really like compact and elegant Bluetooth earphones like these. Both did a great job. But if I have to choose then I like the earbud design of Bullets Z more.

Bass & Sound Quality

First of all, both have the ideal frequency of 20Hz – 20KHz.

The bass edition of the OnePlus Bullets Z has 9.2 mm re-engineered drivers which promises much better bass and it really did.

The Realme buds wireless has 11.2 mm drivers. But despite having bigger drivers, the bass feels a bit flat compared to Bullets Z.

Realme buds have 22 ohms impedance. There’s no mention of the impedance of Bullets Z but based on my personal experience it should be around 32 ohms.

Realme buds surely is a great pair of wireless earphones with good sound and bass but Bullets Z sounds just so good and so is the bass.

Battery Life & Charging Time

Battery life and charging time are some of those areas where OnePlus Bullets Z just dominates almost every piece of wireless earphones out there.

Bullets Z can give you 10 hours of battery life just by charging 10 minutes. On the other hand, 10 minutes charge can give Realme buds 100 minutes (1 h 40 minutes) of battery life.

Realme buds take around 1.5 hours to fully charge can last up to 12 hours. Bullets Z bass edition provide 17 hours of playback time and thanks to warp charge it will only take 20 minutes to fully charge.

So, you know who is the boss here. This area alone can make Bullets Z a no-brainer deal.

Remote & Functions

Both are on equal footing here. You get to see all the necessary buttons to control volume, voice assistant, and calls.

There’s no separate remote for those buttons. The buttons are attached at end of the neckband. This makes the earphones look even more clean and compact.

Bluetooth Version: Both editions have Bluetooth 5.0 with a 10 m range.

Water-Resistance: Bullets Z have IP55 dust, sweat, and water resistance (it can survive jet spray). Realme buds wireless is IPX4 water resistance. IPX4 can resist water splashes but not jet spray.

Call/Mic Quality: Realme buds wireless has a mic and there’s no issue with calls. Bullets Z also comes with a mic but few have complained about a static noise during calls.

Noise Cancellation: Both offer passive noise cancellation. Based on the actual usage the Bullet Z is better at cancelling noise than Realme buds.

Accessories: USB (USB-C for OnePlus & Micro USB for Realme) cable for charging, earbuds of different sizes, and all the required papers like the manual, warranty card, etc are included.
